For their 150th anniversary, Lilly wanted to remind people that what we do next matters just as much as what we’ve done before. And Candace Parker has done it all. Together with Amazon Prime, we built a TVC around Candace Parker’s legacy, and whatever comes next.

Candace Parker in a black tracksuit stands in a dark indoor basketball gym holding an orange and white basketball. Dramatic beams of light cut through the space behind her as she looks toward the camera.

Results

The campaign debuted during a national WNBA on Prime doubleheader, putting Candace and Lilly’s message directly in the middle of one of the fastest growing spaces in sports. The work connected Lilly’s 150 year legacy with a defining voice in women’s basketball, celebrating everything Candace has accomplished while looking ahead to what’s still to come. One legend. Many titles. And plenty left to accomplish.

Process

How do you capture someone who has done everything and refuses to fit into one title? You embrace it all. We built the creative around Candace’s many identities, using the basketball court as our canvas and creating a world where each role revealed another facet of her life. The production had to move with the same confidence and energy as Candace herself. Across a tight one day shoot in Los Angeles, our team created simple set elements that transformed the court into individual spaces that represented each side of her life. We used a 180° dolly track to rotate around Candace, creating seamless transitions from one scene to the next.
